Notice of Change – Web App Bank Selection-Consent Sequence for AIS
Date: 23 October 2020 | TB-102920
This is a time-sensitive communication regarding pending changes to a key operating component supporting the Token ecosystem.
Bank selection to occur before user consent for AIS
Token's webapp is available as a standard or customized user interface that bridges service initiation with the bank's mechanisms.
In previous versions, the webapp first prompted the user to grant consent for access to account information before presenting the bank selection page. Some banks, however, require the user to select the account(s) to access and the type of information (transactions, balances, etc.) being granted before giving consent. This is because users with multiple accounts with the bank may not wish to grant the same type of access for all accounts. Furthermore, users may first wish to determine if the AISP-bank connection via Token is supported by their bank before granting consent. Allowing account selection before granting access will provide a better user experience all around.
The existing sequence is therefore being transposed so that bank selection precedes consent as illustrated here (click to enlarge).
The corresponding change for was implemented in a previous release.
Impact
This change requires no action by the TPP.
Timing
This change becomes effective on 28 October 2020.
